D I R E C T I O N S to PODERE CASALTA

FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT (about 50-60 min)

• Turn right out of the airport

• Get on A1 toward Roma (south)

• Exit “Firenze-Impruneta” (used to be Certosa)

Then follow instructions as below from ***.

FROM PISA AIRPORT (about 1 hour 30 min)

• Exit Pisa Airport, turn right towards Firenze and take FI-PI-LI Superstrada (free motorway/highway) to Florence.

• Stay on the FI-PI-LI until you reach A1 south toll outside Florence (towards Bologna-Roma). Take towards Rome.

• Exit "Firenze-Impruneta". (Just past second tunnel on this stretch of A1, or about 4-5 min)

• Leave the motorway. At the roundabout, turn sharp right, following the signs to Siena "4 corsie" (4 lanes)

Drive along the FI-SI Superstrada until you reach the San Donato exit (about 15-18 min). San Donato is the 5th exit. Turn left towards Castellina and San Donato.

Continue on this road for approx. 3,7 Km and then turn left at the signs Gaiole, Greve, Panzano, Sicelle.

This turn on the left is between a restaurant called “Locanda di Pietracupa” and a Church just on the road.

Continue on this road for approx. 6,5 Km. You pass a hamlet with a Church called “Sicelle” and a restaurant “Osteria alla Piazza”. After the restaurant you go down until the intersection. There are two roads. On the left you go to Greve and Panzano, while on the right you can see the sign towards “Castellina in Chianti”.

Take the road on your right towards Castellina. Follow this road (SR 222) for approx. 400 meters. After 400 meters you get to a little place just on the road called “Mulin Nuovo”. At Mulin Nuovo take the first gravel road on the right. There is the sign “Podere Casalta”. The gravel road is between two houses. One of these two houses (the one on the right) was converted into a B&B called “La Fiaba”. Please drive slowly. You go up on the hill for approx. 1 Km. Please follow the signs “Podere Casalta” all the time.

The gravel road is not so bad but it’s better if you go up slowly.
