HIRE CARS: This is commonly done when staying. We recommend cars over scooter for safely. The general cost to hire is 1,400 to 1,800 Thai Baht for family cars. A larger 4WD will cost up to 2,800 Thai Baht depending on the season. There are possibly cheaper providers at the airport, but please read the conditions of rental. Scooters rent normally from 200 Baht to 300 Baht per day. Their is some risk riding the Koh Samui roads due to sand and uneven surfaces. Please be careful and wear the helmets provided.
