CAR - take the SGC Fi-Pi-Li (high-traffic road between Florence, Pisa and Livorno, without toll) to the S. MINIATO exit. Once you are out you will be in San Miniato Basso. Follow the signs for San Miniato, the medieval city located on the hill above. Piazza del Popolo is your reference. In the center there is a small parking lot, on one side the beautiful Church of San Domenico and on the other side there is the Vicolo dell'Inferno. You can walk the tiny alley to unload the luggage. Then you can park in Piazza del Popolo (paid parking, free at night and on Sundays) Another alternative - recommended - is the Fonti delle Fate car park (half free and half pay, with blue stripes) and then quickly return to Piazza del Popolo on foot thanks to a very comfortable lift. AIRPLANE -> TRAIN - San Miniato is located on the Florence-Pisa railway line. You have to take a "regional" train in one of the two directions paying attention that it stops at the S.MINIATO-FUCECCHIO station.
