How to get there
Ground Transportation
Once you book your vacation in the confirmation email you receive will contain information on arranging transportation to/from the airport to the resort via an arranged Vidanta Shuttle service. NOTE: for your departure referencing the confirmation letter via email you will need to coordinate with the concierge 24-hrs before to confirm your shuttle ride back to the Cancun airport.
From the resort to Cancun International Airport is approx. $33 US ($40 w/ tip) is certainly worth it, if one has a need as to not take the Vidanta Shuttle.
Passports are required for anyone traveling to Mexico, including children.
TIP: On our most recent stay we found an excellent way to avoid the congestion of the check-in/out traffic of the Grand Mayan or Mayan Palace Resort lobbies with the assistance of a bellboy or porter one can hail/catch a taxi in the bellboy area between Grand Mayan buildings 5-7 and 8-13.
TIP: At the Cancun International Airport, I recommend hailing one of the airport's porters to assist you with your luggage, for a few US dollars it certainly eases the in/out of the airport convenient.
