How to get there
DIRECTIONS
Belfast International Airport
It is very easy to find your way. On leaving the airport follow the signs to Belfast. These will lead you on to the M2 motorway straight to Belfast. As you approach the end of the motorway (it broadens into 5 or 6 lanes), look out for the signs for NEWCASTLE. You basically follow these signs right through Belfast. Once you leave central Belfast you will head up the Ormeau Road and then connect on to the Belfast Road straight to Dundrum!* You will pass through the town of Ballynahinch and the villages of Seaforde and Clough before coming to Dundrum. Once you see the beautiful bay, castle and the mountains there’ll be no mistaking that you’ve arrived! As you enter the village you will see the Bucks Head Restaurant on your right hand side. A few yards after this you’ll see the entrance to the Quay development on your left hand side (opposite the fish and chip shop!). Drive straight towards the bay and at the end turn right, and apartment no 48 is immediately upstairs on your left. You can park in any nearby space that is free.
From Belfast City Airport
On exiting the airport take a right onto the dual carriageway. You will see the signs for NEWCASTLE. These will take you right around the outer ring (approx. 5 miles) and onto the Belfast Road straight to Newcastle. See above for directions*
From Dublin or Dublin Airport
Follow signs for Belfast (N1). When you reach Newry follow signs for Newcastle. Once in Newcastle follow signs for Belfast. Dundrum is approximately 3 miles outside of Newcastle. Entrance to the village is well sign-posted and The Quay Development (see above) is on the other side of Dundrum. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and is a motorway right through to Newry. From there it’s a very pleasant 40 minute journey through the mountains.
