Getting around
To visit the city in complete freedom is preferable to walk since the distances are negligible, if desired, via the Circumvesuviana you can visit Vico Equense, Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii. Even to visit Mount Faito (1200 meters) can be reached by cable car (7-minute ride enjoying a splendid view of the Bay of Naples), whose departure station is located next to the Circumvesuviana station. While to visit the beautiful Roman villas Varano (free admission), we recommend the car and away from the city about 3 km.
