How to get there
It is about 120 km north of Tokyo, so it takes 2 hours by train to Nakanojo station from Tokyo. Another 20 minutes from Nakanojo to Sawatari spa resort, where our hose is, by bus but 10 minutes by car or our shuttle (up to 10 people can ride at a time). If you come in your own car or rent car, it takes about an hour to Shibukawa-Ikaho IC by Kanetsu Expressway and another 1 hour from Shibukawa to Sawatari by Root 17 and 353. There are also express bus service from Tokyo to Nakanojo town, it takes 3 hours depending on traffic.
Getting around
As is often the case with Japanese counrysides, sightseeing spots are dotted in a large area. It is convenient to come by car otherwise you will waste too much your time to wait for a local bus/train service whenever you visit. There are lots of beautiful waterfalls, mountains/hills, lakes and old temples and shrine around our area. We can take you and show you around if your group is less than 10 people. (our car is for up to 10 passengers) Or you can just stay at our hose being relaxed, enjoying our great hot springs, BBQ, walking, or swimming in the river nearby.
