From the North: Exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 toward Keswick. Before Keswick turn onto the A591 toward Windermere. You will pass a sign for Crow How on your right hand side, not long after that you will see a white sign (at ground level) that says Ambleside. Take the second turning on the left after this sign. Once you’ve turned left you take a sharp left again into the cottage driveway. It’s a tight turn. There is plenty of parking available.

From the South: Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 toward Windermere and the A591. Continue to the North and through the market town of Ambleside. Scandale Bridge Cottage is visible from the main road, accessed by taking the first right turn past Ambleside on the A591.
