How to get there

From the south...come off the M6 at Junction 15. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout and turn right at the traffic lights. Carry on (3-4 miles) to the roundabout then turn left.....carry on here for about 5-6 miles till you come to a T junction and turn right (passing The Swan with 2 Necks on the left) Carry on along this road for about 5 miles, passing Bridgemere Garden World on the right. About another mile turn right at the crossroads onto Checkley Lane. The Old Smithy is the 3rd property on the left. Turn into the courtyard where you can park right next to the cottage.

From the north....come off the M6 at Junction 16. Take the 3rd exit (signed Nantwich) carry on here 2-3 miles then at the next roundabout take 1st exit. Carry on for again 2-3 miles and then take the 1st exit off the next roundabout. Carry on through the village of Betley (passing The Hand & Trumpet) and out the other side, then after about another mile turn right by The Bluebell Pub (closed down now) This is Checkley Lane where The Smithy is however you need to go down the lane for 2 miles. You will then see 'Elnor's Engineering' on the right hand side......start to indicate right as The Old Smithy is just a little higher up on the opposite side of the road. Turn into the courtyard where you can park right next to the cottage.
