Getting around
The Adriatic Coast between Bari and Brindisi is a mixture of low-scale development and wild windswept coastline. Monopoli is the largest town, but despite being a thriving city the historic centre is sadly neglected. Not so for the tiny Polignano a Mare, one of the most photogenic seaside towns in all of Puglia. Beyond Monopoli the coast careers on south between stretches of beach and holiday hotstops like Savelletri and Torre Canne, until it peters out in Brindisi’s ugly suburbs.
