How to get there
The nearest airport to Chamonix is Geneva, only 70 minutes drive away (88km). Lyon Airport is 220km and Turin is 170 km through the Mont Blanc tunnel.
Lots of companies provide minibus transfers from Geneva Airport - we can arrange this for you or let you know the names of some of them.
Alternatively you may choose to hire a car from the airport.
Driving to Chamonix is relatively easy. If coming from the UK the drive from Calais is about 8 hours, mostly on autoroutes and then a dual-carriageway into Chamonix. In the resort there is parking at the chalet and the ski stations.

Getting around
The chalet is in Les tines between Chamonix and Argentiere. There is a good local bus service up and down the valley and to the various ski areas, and also the sweet little train that runs up and down the Chamonix Valley between St Gervais-Le Fayet and Martigny in Switzerland. The bus is free with the ski pass or the Carte d'hote (guest card) and the train is free between Vallorcine and Servoz with Carte d'hote which we can give you.
