Ludlow is bypassed by the A49 which goes from Hereford to Shrewsbury. You need to leave the bypass and follow signs for the town centre. Do not follow your Satnav, it will take you down the narrowest streets imaginable. Go to the end of Castle Square and then turn left.

Parking is an issue. Ludlow was not designed for the motor car.

There is on street car parking which costs £1.80 per hour from 8am - 6pm. Cheaper parking is available at Smithfield's car park, a short walk away, at £2.40 per day and free on Sundays. Beware, traffic wardens are enthusiastic.

Ludlow is on the railway line from Cardiff to Manchester. From London you can travel from Euston to Crewe and go south, or Paddington to Newport and go north.
