How to get there
The nearest airports are: Badajoz, Seville, Lisbon, Jerez de F. There are bus and train stations in Zafra, Almendralejo, Santa Marta. By road, there are good connections, and superbly tarred. From Merida: Almendralejo (A-66) Aceuchal, Villalba, La Parra, and Salvatierra. From Seville: A-66 to Zafra, EX-320 (La Lapa, and Salvatierra) from Badajoz: N-432 until after Santa Marta, BA-9011 to La Parra, and Salvatierra. From N-435 (Huelva-Jerez de los Caballeros): Ex-101 to Burguillos, and Salvatierra. A "Mountains and Valleys" is accessed directly from the EX-320, for asphalt, and has ample parking. From Portugal-Alqueva: EX-320 Barcarrota, Salvaleón, Salvatierra.
