How to get there

By road via the Sandbanks ferry is the most picturesque route. Ferries run from 07:00 to 23:00 departing the mainland on the hour, 20 past and 20 to the hour, although in peak periods a shuttle service runs. Current cost is £5.30 each way for a car including passengers payable on the Studland side of the ferry. Card payment is also accepted although cash payment speeds up getting through the payment booth!

Please also be aware the queue for the ferry can be quite long during the peak season.

Alternatively you can drive around Poole harbour and approach on the A351 via Wareham and Corfe Castle.
