How to get there
By ROAD Follow the A38 from Plymouth, over the Tamar Bridge and turn left for Mount Edgcumbe at Trerulefoot. Cawsand is 7.5 miles from there.
By TRAIN : Plymouth is the nearest main line station. A taxi from Plymouth Station will cost about £30. It is also easy (and cheaper) to take a taxi to the Cremyll ferry (foot passenger only) and arrange a taxi to meet you to take you into Cawsand about 2 miles. A longer but interesting route is to take the train from Plymouth to St Germans. This takes you over the famous bridge built by Isombard Kingdom Brunel. TAXIS Cremyll Cabs Tel : 01752 - 822196. Geralds Cabs Tel : 01752 - 823703. BY AIR: the nearest airport is PLYMOUTH, NEWQUAY or EXETER with flights from all over Europe and also from London Gatwick. Trains also run from Gatwick into Plymouth. In the summer months you might take a taxi from the station to the Barbican steps and use the Cawsand ferry arriving, in romantic style, directly onto Cawsand beach. Call to check the times of the Ferry, currently leaving Barbican at 10.30 12.00 14.30 1600 The cottage is just a short walk up Garrett Street.
