How to get there
New roads are being built across the island. A new motorway (FV1) has opened up, meaning your journey to/from the airport is super easy and around 30 mins from airport to the villa. You can still drive via the sand dunes road however this takes around 45/50 mins from airport to villa. The FV1 also makes the journey to Corralejo from the villa much quicker - around 8 mins by car into the centre of town.

Getting around
Very easy to drive on the island and explore the old villages, many beaches and mountain views. Lots of companies rent out bikes - the island is great for biking and has lots of bike routes and bike lanes. Taxis are plentiful and there are lots of companies offering tours etc. Buses are regular and a good cost effective option if you decide not to hire a car. It is a great island to drive around and we recently drove from north (Corralejo) to south (Jandia) of the island, and this now takes around 1 hour 45 mins, taking the new motorways.
