How to get there
By train:
The house is great for a car free holiday or just car free days out. There is a mainline train station just a short walk away. South West trains run a regular service from Waterloo to Weymouth with stops at Sway, Ashurst, Southampton, Poole and Bournemouth amongst others. Cross Country trains run from Manchester to Bournemouth and stops include Winchester and Southampton. There is also a local branch line to the Georgian market town of Lymington from where it is possible to take a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Getting around
By train: Brockenhurst station is a few minutes walk away and has regular trains to: Lymington, Ashurst and Sway in the New Forest, Winchester, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch among other places. By bus: During the summer holidays there is an open top, hop on hop off tourist bus that runs from outside the train station. and Regular bus: No 6 Southampton, Totton, Lyndhurst and Lymington By bicycle: Bring bikes or hire them locally
