When I know where you live or will be travelling from I always send directions. It is only 5.2 miles off the A5 Trunk Road the main route to Holyhead avoiding the difficulties on the A55. Driving time from London is on average 4.5 hours, Liverpool 1.30 hrs, Manchester 1.45 hrs, Birmingham 2hrs in normal traffic conditions.
Manchester and Liverpool are the nearest Airports. This beautiful contrasting area of North Wales is easy to get too, central and Pen y Banc is accessable all year.
Main thing is to check the mountain pass route over the Berwyn Mountains if travelling from the south when you travel in the winter.

Getting around
A car, bike or motor bike are essential for guests visiting this area. Public Transport is very limited and there is no service to the Hamlet of Sarnau, the nearest pick up point is Llandderfel where you can leave your car. There is much to do and explore in this contrasting, beautiful, accessible part of Wales and Pen y Banc is ideally situated.
