How to get there
Nungurner is located in the East Gippsland region of Victoria, approximately 3.5 hours drive east from Melbourne along the Princes Highway.
The closest train station is located 25 minutes drive from our property at Bairnsdale. Taxi services are available however it's best to have your own vehicle to make the most of the scenic drive options in our region.
Country House Retreat is a 10 minute drive from Metung and 15 minutes from Lakes Entrance so you can easily pop in to get all the supplies you need during your stay, but enjoy being away from the holiday crowds. There are always weekend markets on in the region and beautiful beaches and bushland to explore which we will be happy to point you in the direction of. There are also some fantastic biking trails in our neighbourhood if you're seeking some adventures on two wheels during your stay.

Getting around
Your own car is the best way to take advantage of our region, which is the largest in Victoria and offers some amazing sightseeing, scenic drives and beautiful coastline. If you're coming by public transport then the nearest train station is Bairnsdale. Car hire is limited in our region but taxi services are available. There are a number of private charter companies also operating if you're traveling as a small group.
