How to get there
The house is in a coastal neighborhood with private and unnamed roads. Our property manager will meet you and escort you to the property when she gives you the keys and a tour of the house. It is a few streets and a short walk back from the highway with local buses and taxis. It is easy to find on your own once you know where it is.
Getting around
Ballenita is quieter than Salinas and there are a number of Expats living in the neighborhood. The beach is two blocks from the house. The beach is beautiful and during the week there is hardly anyone there. On the weekends it's a popular place for surfers and you might see a few a the points at either end of the beach depending on the tide. There are tidal pools that form at low tide at the North end that are relaxing to soak in. :-) The regional bus station is 10 minutes by bus from the house and you can take very inexpensive buses from there anywhere in Ecuador. Visiting the various cities up the coast can be interesting. Each one is unique and worth doing a day trip.
