How to get there
Savannah international is 47 miles away, HHI airport is 6 miles away.
A car is highly recommended for full enjoyment of the island.
Once in Palmetto Dunes turn onto St George then onto Heath Drive. The house # is 38.

Getting around
We supply 8 bikes for your use (6 adult/2 child) for trails on Hilton Head Island. (This is an easy 5 min bike ride to the beach or General Store.) In addition, you can use these to travel over to Shelter Cove Marina for shopping / Dining with out crossing a busy street by taking the bike trails under the highway. (If you prefer to walk to the beach we also offer a beach cart for carrying your gear.) During April till late summer you may take also take advantage of the Palmetto Dunes FREE "Dune Buggy" service. This is a van that will pick you up to take you anywhere in PD or over to Shelter Cove. There's also parking (1st come/1st serve) for PD at the Disney Beachhouse. PD charges vehicle fee: $25/vehicle/wk stay
