How to get there

DIRECTIONS:

• FROM THE EAST: Travel west from downtown Dubois approximately 23 miles and turn right onto the Brooks Lake Road (just past mile marker #32/watch for the Brooks Lake Recreation Area brown sign). Travel approximately 1.5 miles up Brooks Lake Road and turn left onto Breccia Drive. It is not marked with a road sign but does show up on Google Maps (you’ll want to turn on Google maps when in town while you have cell service). The road is marked with a brown forest service pole marked with a #581 (this turn is just before a metal gate closure for closing the road during the winter months). Drive approximately .3 miles to the 2nd cabin on the left marked with a “35 Beavers” sign on a tree. There is a sign over the door that says “Bearitage” – the quaint name given to the cabin by a prior owner many years ago.

• FROM THE WEST: From the Jackson airport, turn left onto US 26 towards Moran/Yellowstone/Dubois. Continue on US 26 for 25 miles to Moran Junction and bear east (watch for the Dubois road sign).
