How to travel to Machangulo:

You have three options to get there:

1. Charter a plane from Maputo airport which will take you to Machangulo in a 15 min flight. Our staff will pick you up from the airstrip and drive you to the house. (Only a ten min drive). This is the fastest but also most expensive option. ($800-$1000)

2. There is a boat service from the Maputo Harbor going to Santa Maria. The boat will cost around $400 and the boat ride is about 1.5 hours long. That is the most popular option except when the bay is rough. Again our staff will pick you up from Santa Maria and drive you to the house at no extra cost.

3. Lastly it is possible to drive to Machangulo with a 4x4 vehicle. You will be driving all the way through the Elefantreserve which is a beautiful 3-4 hour drive.
