How to get there

° Don't miss the statue of Saint Charles Borromeo, commonly identified by citizens as the "Sancarlone", built in 1600, with its 35 meters high is one of the largest statues in the world, the second, after the statue of liberty, accessible inside.

° A few meters we find the sanctuary of San Carlo, grandiose Baroque building and about 1 km you reach the remains, recently restored Rocca di Arona. From here you can admire the panorama from the top of Lake Maggiore.

° Twin of Rocca di Arona is the Rocca Borromeo in Angera (located and well visible on the opposite side of the Lake), inside you can visit the Museum of doll and toy, the largest in Europe.

° Just 1.5 km. the apartment, situated in the hamlet of Mercurago adjacent to Arona, you can take a dip in the nature of Parco dei Lagoni di Mercurago. Offers theme trails and dedicated athletes who enjoy hiking and mountain biking. Ideal for those who want to bring kids, take a pick nik outdoors, for those who want to run and for those who want to walk around with their dogs, kept on a leash.

The town of Stresa, with its luxury hotels and the charming Borromeo Islands: Isola Bella Palazzo Borromeo and its gardens, isola Madre is the largest of the Islands and its gardens is home to numerous species of plants and animals, and finally the island of fishermen is the only permanently inhabited, with its charming narrow streets and quaint little market where you can buy local handicrafts.

Always in Stresa Villa Pallavicino Park where they live in large natural spaces, numerous species of animals, exotic birds and mammals (llamas, kangaroos, zebras, flamingos), trees and a wonderful botanical garden.

° The gardens of Villa Taranto in Verbania, are known worldwide for their beauty and for the richness of floral species that host. Represents one of the most important botanical gardens in the world with thousands of species of plants and flowers from every place. Spectacular labyrinth where Tulips are planted over 65 varieties, you can # breathe the atmosphere of the mountain going to "Mottarone", also known as the mountain of the two lakes, to its particular location from which you can enjoy a truly striking panorama and breathtaking, hugging the Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta.

° The suggestive Lake Orta is home to the medieval village of Orta San Giulio with a series of narrow streets, features narrow winding streets, closed to traffic and filled with mansions in various styles; in front of the beautiful island of San Giulio. The Sacro Monte of Orta, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Sacro Monte of Varallo Sesia, also a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Valsesia, Italy's greenest Valley, which contains very unique features, such as buildings, Alagna Valsesia, famous for skiing, mountain climbing and excellent typical products, such as cheeses and meats.

The Sacro Monte di Oropa, always part of the UNESCO World Heritage site, is located in a magnificent mountain scenery at 1,200 meters above sea level, a short distance from the city of Biella.

° Also plan a visit in the Vigezzo Valley, just an hour's drive, also known as the Valley of the painters, home to many artists, gives a view of beautiful places. The main centers of the Valley are Druogno, Santa Maria Maggiore, popular tourist destinations. Art and devotion in the impressive blend Shrine of King at the end of the Valley, a Gothic-Byzantine mole. The rich gastronomic traditions, simple and genuine. Don't miss the historic Vigezzina that, through a process of 55 kilometres of galleries and impressive cliffs, view fascinating landscapes. ° In the Anzasca Valley, in the province of Verbania, at the foot of Monte Rosa is the small town of Macugnaga, renowned for its ski slopes, hiking and mountaineering.

° For golfers to Agrate Conturbia is the renowned Castelconturbia Golf Club and in Stresa on Golf Club Alpino di Stresa.

° In less than an hour you can reach one of the big cities, Milan, with its unmissable EXPO 2015 and about an hour and a half, Torino. In a couple of hours you can visit Genoa, with its Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe and the famous beach resorts.
