Getting around
The Old Wharf Cottage is situated close to the Royal town of Windsor in Berkshire. Windsor and over the footbridge, Eton, are gorgeous towns with a local feel and plenty of restaurants and shops and things to do come rain or shine. For history lovers, There are Neolithic artifacts found close to St Andrews Church and now kept in the Windsor museum. Wraysbury or "Wyrardisbury", was an Anglo Saxon fort and originally mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086. Magna Carta Island in the parish of Wraysbury is one of the sites where the Magna Carta was signed in 1215.
