How to get there
To enjoy the local area surrounding Ddol Cottage, a car is strongly advised. The nearest airport is Cardiff however excellent train links from birmingham airport is also available. The ferry port of Fishguard is the closest however Pembroke Dock is also only a further 30km south and gives you the choice of two ferry companies.

Getting around
The best way to see the area is to have a car and drive as many of the interesting spots are in a rural location with no access to public transport. There is a small bus that travels around the main beaches called the Cardi Bach which can be useful if you wish to walk one section of the coastpath and return to your car by bus. There are bus connections in the village of Plwmp, less than half a mile away, and these will take you to cardigan, aberaeron, aberystwyth and connections to carmarthen and south wales. There is a train station at aberystwyth and carmarthen.
