Lefkada is one of the Ionian Islands of Greece. -
The visitor can arrive to Lefkada by many ways:

By car: Lefkada is the only island which can be visited by car without ferry boats fares by using the floating bridge connecting the island with the mainland Greece. There is daily bus connection (5 hours) from and to Athens (378 km) and from to Thessaloniki (420 km- 4,5 hours).
The underwater tunnel of Preveza- Aktio create an easy access to the island from northwest Greece and the via the Port of Igoumenitsa (100 km) forming a great entrance gate from West and Central Europe.
The operation of the bridge Rio- Antirio makes easier the connection of the island with the rest of Greece and with the port of Piraeus (170 km) which is the second great entrance gate to Europe.

By plane: From Athens there are daily flights to the international airport of Preveza/Aktion (18km from the capital town of Lefkada) and from Thessaloniki 2 flights weekly. The airports of the islands of Corfu, Kefalonia and Zakynthos are connecting stations. From April until October there are many direct flights between various European airports and Preveza/Aktion.
TO GET TO THE RESIDENCE You have to pass through the village of Athani and drive for 7 km more towards the cape of Lefkatas -Nira. The guests of the house will be awaited by the owner with whom there will be a direct contact by mobile telephone, in order for them to get the keys of the house and to be settled in. The apartment will be delivered to the guests cleaned and tidy, and extra linen will be available inside. The cleaning of the apartment during the stay is up to the guests.The house is accesible by car, via an asphalt road. Only the last section (500 m) of the road to the house is gravel way. The nearest cottage house is at 700 m distance. There are no public transport means to the house.
