How to get there
Trawsfynydd Holiday Village is located in Bronaber, approx 2 miles south of Trawsfynydd. It is conveniently located just off the A470 in Gwynedd, 10 miles north of Dolgellau and 14 miles south of Porthmadog. We are approximately 2 hours drive from Liverpool, Manchester, Shrewsbury and the Midlands.
Approaching from the Liverpool/Chester area:
Take the A494 to Bala then turn right onto the A4212 to Trawsfynydd. Turn left on the A470 heading to Dolgellau. The Holiday Village is two miles on the left at Bronaber.
Approaching from the Shrewsbury area:
Turn left on to the A458 to Dolgellau where you will join up with the A470. Carry on this road bypassing Dolgellau town and carry on for a further eleven miles. The Holiday Village is on the right hand side at Bronaber before you get to Trawsfynydd.
Some SatNavs have LL41 4YB registered for us, others use LL41 4UR. Please beware though, some SatNavs send you along a narrow, gated minor road off of the A494 from near to Llanuwchllyn. This road is not recommended. You are better to take the A4212 from Bala.
The closest train stations are Blaenau Ffestiniog or Barmouth. From Blaenau Ffestiniog buses run directly and from Barmouth you would need to change in Dolgellau, but there are only a handful of buses per day. Check out the latest timetables or try www.traveline-cymru.info/ if you are planning your whole trip. Taxis are unlikely to be waiting at the stations, so it is advisable to pre-book, if you want to use a taxi.
