How to get there

Travelling to Ruskin Lodge is a pleasure in itself and whether you are coming by ferry, car, boat or train the journey will take you through some glorious countryside.

Directions from Glasgow (via ferry):

Follow the M8 to Gourock then follow signs for the Hunter’s Quay ferry. After the 20 minute ferry journey, turn right and follow signs for the A815 to Strachur. Once you are on the A815 you will see a Forestry Commission sign for Pucks Glen and the Lodges are next track on your right. Look for the number 6 by the door to the lodge.

Direction from Glasgow (by road only):

Follow the A82 up Loch Lomond to Tarbat, then take the A83 until you see signs for the A815 just before Cairndow. Follow the A815 through Strachur and inland past Loch Eck

Getting around

A car is recommended but there are public transport options too. There are local bus stops at Benmore Botanical Gardens, Uig and Cot House and bus routes link the area to Dunoon, west to Portavadie, south to Ardentinny and north to Strachur, Loch Fyne and Inveraray. There is a car ferry route from Hunters Quay to McInroy's Point and a passenger ferry from Dunoon to Gourock.
