How to get there

By Plane - Edinburgh Airport - There is a direct bus service from the airport to Ocean Terminal (no 35) which takes just over an hour due to its route. Buses run from the airport direct into the centre of Edinburgh every 10 minutes (X100) and drop off at Waverley Station where an additional bus can be taken to Ocean Terminal. (No 10, 11 or 22) running every few minutes and a 10-15 minute journey. Alternatively there are plenty of Taxis at the airport costing around £20 for a direct journey with a 15-20 minute transfer.By Train - Waverley Station, the bus serivce is described above, and taxis are plentiful directly in and outside the station with a 10 minute journey costing around £7. By Car - From the West over the M8 follow the city bypass A720 on approach to Edinburgh. Follow the A720 to the end with the junction of the A1. Then follow the signs to Leith Attractions / Leith through the centre of Leith and then the sIgns to Ocean Terminal / Royal Yacht Britannia. At the traffic lights to Britannia Way (Britannia Spice Indian restaurant) head straight over and then take the first right after the lights turning into North Leith Sands, and right into Portland Row. From the South, Follow the A1 past the A720 Bypass junction and then follow the SIgns to Leith as above.From the North, Over the Forth Road Bridge at Queensferry and then follow the A90 through Edinburgh to Ferry Road (A902) and keep going until the end. Take a letf at the end Junction. At the next set of Traffic Lights with Ocean Drive, turn left, then first right into North Leith Sands and Right into Portland Row.
