Other European flight connections include Zurich, Berne, Basle-Mulhouse; also Chambery (France) and Milan (Italy). There are also smaller charter flights directly into Sion Airport.
By train:
Regular train services (SBB Swiss Rail) run from Geneva Airport (rail station within airport terminal) to the nearest town in the valley, Sion. Train tickets can be purchased in advance online (www.sbb.ch) and the journey passes past wonderful scenery bordering Lake Geneva. On arrival at Sion you can either take a taxi ride up the mountain or hop on the Post bus with regular daily services. There is another option of taking the train all the way via Eurostar to Paris and from there using the SNCF French Rail to Sion, thence by taxi or bus.

Car hire is available at Geneva Airport and rentals can be organised with any of the major car hire companies. For larger groups It is also possible to organise private mini bus hire from the airport. The journey to the chalet should take no more than 2 hours via the motorway with the final part of the drive up via a wide mountain road which is cleared of snow daily in winter.
Self Drive:
The drive from Calais to Sion will take approximately 9/10 hours using the French?Swiss motorway network. In winter snow chains are mandatory. These are more often than not necessary but should be stowed in the boot at all times.
