How to get there

The 344 bus runs an hourly service from Hastings station to Rye, via Fairlight and will drop you directly outside The Sanctuary Retreat Gates.

Alternatively, a cab can also be caught from just outside the station and offers a 15 minute journey to our door for around £12.

If you prefer to cycle we are on Cycle route 2 (On-Road.) and it will take around 40 minutes.

Walk/ Hike.
If you are really fit & enjoy walking their are two routes you can take
The main road along the A259 to Ore & then along the Fairlight Road.
The Main Road A259 to the Old Town, Up the East Hill Cliffs, via the funicular railway or cliff path, along the Firehills towards Ecclesbourne Glen and Lovers Seat, into Hastings Country Park, along to Channel way and then follow the Saxon Shore Way Trail to Stream Lane which runs parallel with the perimeter of the property and your accommodation.
