Route description:
Zavala is small village on the south side of the island Hvar. To reach it you have to take ferry boat from Split to Stari Grad and then drive about 25min to Zavala. Also you can reach to island Hvar by ferry Drvenik –Sućuraj or by catamaran Split – Jelsa, or Split – Hvar if you are without car. Jelsa is on 7 km, Stari Grad on 15 km, town Hvar on 30km, Sućuraj is 60 km distance to Zavala.
Zavala being a small village has no good bus connections (just few times a week!) so you have to go around by taxi or rent a car. From Stari Grad drive to the left towards Jelsa. Near Jelsa you will see sign direction Zavala and after passing village Pitve you will enter the tunnel which brings you to the other side of island. Driving slowly down you will come the first houses of Zavala. After approximately 100m you will see the uprighted (vertical) sign 'Market'. Don't follow that sign driving little upward but continue slowly straight down. After about next 200m on the right side you will see two garbage containers and several parking spaces.
