How to get there
From the south take M1 until you get to M18 (signposted Doncaster /Hull) follow it until you get to the M62 (sign post Goole/Hull). Follow the M62 until you have gone over the bridge over the river Ouse and then take the next exit to Howden which I think is also signposted Bridlington. Turn right and go straight on to the next roundabout then take the A614 towards Bridlington (BE CAREFUL HERE TO KEEP TO 30MPH UNTIL YOU GET OVER THE NEXT BRIDGE because everyone, and I mean all of the Mothers Union catering committee, have had speeding fines).
Follow all the signs to Bridlington and then follow the signs to Flamborough. When you get to Flamborough village you will get to a sign on the corner to North Landing. Go straight on (over a mini roundabout with a memorial in the middle) and head for the sea/ cliffs. You will pass Thornwick Bay caravan park on your left and then ahead on the left you will see the Vikings pub. Turn left immediately before the pub and follow the sign to Thornwick Bay cafe for about 300 yards. On your right you will see a sign which should say Private Road but which is broken so says vate Roa. Go up the road and come to a gate before the car parking space in front of three little houses. Jackobob is the far one.
If you come to Bridlington by train, the taxi journey is about 4-5 miles and costs about £15.
