How to get there

Finding your way to St. Leonard's Crag:

Type the post code, EH8 9SP, into or use AA Route Planner to see the exact location of St. Leonard's Crag.

The old school is located on the western edge of Holyrood Park, about ten minutes walk from the Royal Mile. The Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Scottish Parliament Building and all central attractions are within easy walking distance.

Buses and taxis are easy to catch nearby. There are some lovely nearby restaurants, as well as shops, banks and supermarkets.

Arriving by air:

Take a taxi directly to the flats, asking the driver to go to 'St. Leonard's Crag' or you can take the airport bus into town and then use a taxi but if there are more than two of you it is almost as cheap to take a taxi. The taxi ride takes from 25 to 35 minutes depending on the time of day.

Arriving by train:

Take a 5 minute taxi ride from Waverley Station, asking the driver for 'St. Leonard's Crag'. You could walk if your bags are not too heavy. It takes around 15 minutes.

Arriving by car:

We recommend entering central Edinburgh using the A7 and follow signs for Old Town. After reaching the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool, continue straight ahead for approximately a quarter of a mile, into the cobbled St. Leonard's Street. Turn right into St. Leonard's Lane by the St. Leonard's police station. St. Leonard's Crag is at the end of the lane on the left hand side, adjacent to Holyrood Park.

Parking is right in front of the building. You will find a parking permit in the apartment, which you should display on the dashboard.
