How to get there

Check in time: 3pm

Check out time: 10 am (for cleaning)

Directions & Arrival - At the Hayle Roundabout on the A30 take the Hayle road (4th exit) and proceed for about 250m (you will cross 2 adjacent mini roundabouts by Lidl) till you reach the Recreation Ground on your right. Turn right (opposite the petrol station) signposted Phillack, Towans & Beaches. Proceed up through Phillack village (past the church and Bucket of Blood pub and then farm buildings, all on your right) till the road swings round to the right. After 200m you will see Riviere Towans Chalets Reception on the left. They will give you directions to find E28 – or see map attached.

Keys - Collect the key from Reception. Hours are Mon-Fri 9-1 & 2-5; Sat 8-6; & Sun 9-1.They will direct you to a palm-covered roundabout where you turn right. Carry on round to the left till you see a vivid blue chalet on the left. Park to the right of this and walk up the steps to Hi-Up, which is an olive green colour.

Keysafe – please try to arrive during Reception opening times as you are required to sign in. However, there is a key safe located on the back wall of the chalet under the bathroom window. Please e mail me if you have to arrive late and I will forward you the code. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU RETURN THE KEY TO THE KEYSAFE ON DEPARTURE.

Water: If the water is not on the main tap and meter are beneath the metal flap in the ground slightly to the right of the front door at the top of the steps. You may need a spoon handle from the kitchen drawer to help you lift the metal cover.

Electricity; If the electricity is not on - the main switch is in the under-sink cupboard in the kitchen. The meter takes £1 coins.

Hot Water - the switch and tank are in the right hand cupboard in the main bedroom. The immersion heater takes about 45 mins to heat a full tank. Once heated the temperature can be kept topped up sufficient for normal dishwashing and bathroom use by switching on for about 15 minutes every day – this also keeps costs low (but baths, rather than showers, will take the full 45 mins to provide enough hot water).

Electric Shower - Pull ceiling switch to left of washbasin.

Bedding & Towels -sheets, duvets, pillows, electric underblankets, towels, bath mat and kitchen drying cloth etc are provided.

TV /DVD player – please leave remote controls and instruction booklets on the DVD player

Instruction books for other appliances are in the top drawer of the desk.

Window lock keys for bathroom and kitchen is in top drawer of desk

The window in the small bedroom is awaiting repair so please do not open.

The local Shop (further on the road to the beach from Reception) opens at 8.00am and sells freshly baked bread, croissants, pasties, daily papers, wine etc. Below the shop by the beach Cove Café has good coffee and baguettes and a fantastic view across to St Ives.

Food shopping. You will have passed M&S Food and Lidl at the A30 Hayle roundabout as you arrived. There is a new ASDA supermarket on the quay below the railway viaduct in Hayle about 10 minutes walk away. The Hayle Co-Op supermarket is a little further on the right from the petrol station.

Recycling & Rubbish - you will see the 3 recycling bins to the left of the blue chalet. Rubbish is collected early on Thursday mornings. You will need to trundle the green wheelie bin down the steps and collect it when emptied.

Cleaning - is included in the rental fee (or for short stay visits is added as an additional charge). Please do not leave washing up for the cleaner as this will be charged additionally to the cleaning fee.

On Departure please close the blinds, and return key to Reception (or to the key safe – if you have used this key)
