Sakimotobu in the northern region of Motobu on Okinawa's main island, the Cottage is accessed from a lane off the coastal road (449) between Nago City and the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Expo Park.

The best way to get around Okinawa, especially in the rural north is by car or private transport. There is ample parking directly in front of the house.

To get to Nago from the airport take the Expressway to Kyoda junction (about 90 minutes - cost Y1,000) or you can follow R58 north all the way to Nago (takes between 120 and 150 minutes). It is a nice drive from Kadena up through Onna Village to Nago on R58 but be advised the section from Naha to Chatan can be extremely congested especially in the afternoon rush hours.

Public transport can be slow and expensive especially in the rural areas. The quickest service is the Highway Express Airport service (#111) which runs from the airport to Nago every 30 minutes and takes 1 hr 45m. Cost is around Y2,400. From Nago there is a regular bus service (#65/66) which runs from Nago Bus Terminal every 30 minutes and stops at Sakimotobu bus stop. It takes about 20 minutes from Nago by bus. There is another less frequent express bus service, the Yanbaru Expess
which runs from the airport up the expressway to Nago and on to Motobu and Unten Port. The nearest stop is Motobu Ko (Port) where the ferries depart for Ie Island. From there it would be a 5 minute taxi ride to the Cottage.
