How to get there

How to get to Torre dei Corsari (also named Torre di Flumentorgiu)

There are many routes leading to Torre dei Corsari. We found this one to be the easiest and quickest.

If you follow these instructions, you'll get there safely in about one hour from Cagliari or 2 hours and a half from Alghero and about 3 hours from Olbia.

If you use a GPS, it might take to a narrow and longer route.

Hopefully by following these directions you'll get there with no problems at all!

From Cagliari airport:

Take to main road to Cagliari.

After a couple of Km there is a parting of the way: at the fork take the road to the right to IGLESIAS.

Soon after there is a crossroad on the right: take the SESTU/ORISTANO direction

Again soon you'll find a new parting: take the ORISTANO/SASSARI direction.

Now you should be on the SS131 (named “Carlo Felice” road). This is one of the main road in Sardegna, crossing the island from north to south.

Pls go straight and stay on the SS 131. After about 65 KM. pls take the exit to URAS:

Take right to URAS

After the exit, you'll find a crossroad on the left (before the road rises ).

Take the left to San Nicolò D'Arcidano

Then take right to S. N. DArcidano

From now on the roads are in the middle of the countryside head to San Nicolò D'Arcidano

Keep your way to S. N. D'Arcidano -be careful here since you may not notice this left turn-

Follow the main road crossing the village you'll soon find a street cross light.

Take left to GUSPINI.

Go straight you'll cross a bridge right after the village

After a about 200 meters you'll find a new crossroad.

After turning right go straight the road is crossing more countryside and the traffic is often nil. If you think you are lost in the middle of the nowhere, you are in the right direction!

At the crossroad take for S.Antonio di Santadi

Again, follow the road to S. Antonio di Santadi.

On your right, you soon see the fish breeding landscape

You'll also find on the right this religious little temple you are now entering S.Antonio di Santadi, which is a very very tiny village.

Follow the main road, go straight following the directions to Torre dei Corsari

Now you must drive for the last 6 Km. across hills. Pls drive safely!

You then find a new fork take the right direction to Torre dei Corsari

Follow the road to Torre dei Corsari

You eventually get at Torre dei Corsari!

From Alghero airport

Take directions to SASSARI,once you get to the junction for SS/131 towards directions for CAGLIARI go on down up to the crossroad indicating until Uras, then turn off to San Nicolo dArcidano, then take the SS126 south for approx 5kms, then take a right turn-off and follow this road all the way to San Antonio di Santadi.keep going strait on and follow Torre dei Corsari sign,go ahead for 6km turning right next to the junction indicating TORRE DEI CORSARI
