How to get there
Flying into San Jose (SJO) is recommended. From SJO, it's a 2-hour ride to Puntarenous for the ferry to Paquera. The ferry takes about 1-1 1/2 hours to Paquera. LCC is an hour from Paquera. A rental car is not a necessity at LCC. Shuttles are available and convenient. You can also fly from SJO to Tambor on local Sansa Airlines; 15 min from the house.
Getting around
A rental car is not necessary at La Colina. Surely, it's convenient. Taxis are readily available to and from the village. Also, the bus runs up and down the hill every couple of hours. The village and beach are a 15-20 walk down the hill. The walk up is challenging.
