How to get there

We are at the Southern end of Key largo on the Oceanside however, so not too difficult to work out with GPS. Turnpike South and U.S. One (U.S.1.) from Florida City. When coming into Key Largo from the North, you will pass the Holiday Inn on your left, (MM 100) Start slowing down and get into the left hand carriageway lane. Within a block you will come to an intersection with traffic lights. At this intersection make a left turn across the highway.....go one short block and make your first right hand turn...(Capital T I B Bank is on your right). Go another block and make your first left hand turn. This brings you into Ocean Bay Drive. Follow Ocean Bay Drive for approximately 3/4 mile. (Observe the 25 mph speed limit at all times as it is a favourite speed-trap, Police often sit tucked in behind Key Largo Fisheries both Day and Night). Going over a small hump backed bridge over a canal adjacent to Dolphins Plus. There are two private drives on right hand side. Next right after these leads into the entrance to Molasses Reef Marina and Kawama Yacht Club. We are in the Tower and you follow the road left after passing through security towards a small roundabout. At the roundabout either bear right to park, or, keep going 50 yards, then take the first right into the brick red paved parking area where there are further parking bays available.

Getting around

You will need a car to explore the Florida Keys. Although you can get a shuttle bus down to Key Largo from the Airport and then get a locally sourced rental vehicle after you have settled in. Local Rental Franchises include Enterprise and Budget Avis. Be aware though that rental rates are generally lower from the International Airport whilst they also allow you the opportunity to do open ended pick up and drop off, for example arrive Orlando and leave from Miami. More locally in the immediate vicinity golf carts and cycles can be inexpensively rented and operators will offer a personalised drop off and pick up service.
