How to get there
IASON STUDIOS is located in the old town on a pedestrian street in the Venetian (old) part of Hania, by the harbour in the greater area of
the "XENIA" hotel (: that's an old hotel, quite well-known, which wasn't operational and was demolished just recently); the closest big street is
It has 2 entrances; one is on ANGELOU Street and the other one on DAMASKINOU Street.
When you arrive at Hania airport you can take a taxi and ask the driver to take you to the old town -THEOTOKOPOULOU STREET; that is the main street of the old town neighbourhood we're located. The taxi would drop you at the foot of THEOTOKOPOULOU street; you are at the moment at the beginning of the old town and going upwards on foot. Go ahead and turn into the second street on your left hand, which is Damaskinon Street. (This is actually our back street door).
As an alternative, if you see that this side door is closed, you can use the main entrance at 32, Angelou street; walk a bit further at Theotokopoulou street and turn left into Angelou street. Then turn again left into the little alley/side street and go straight to our entrance; once you climb the 2 steps and you can see the entrance door to your right and the letterbox on the left, on top of which I usually leave the key if I'm not in.
Recently the local buses have enriched their shcedule with more often routes to and from the airport:
If you are arriving by boat, the local bus has a line that connects the port (Souda) to the center of the town, that is the Market.
Here is the relevant bus schedule:(bus number 13-Souda)
Taking the bus, would take you to the bus station (from the airport), or the Market (AGORA) square (from the port); sometimes both buses would drop you at the Market...
From there, you may take a taxi from outside and ask to be dropped at Theotokopoulou street.
Alternately, when you arrive at the bus station, you get out to the main street -that is KYDONIAS street - and go across and walk towards the traffic lights to your RIGHT.Then you turn left to SQUARE 1866 and go straight to reach the next traffic lights; you should be able to see ALPHA BANK now ahead of you. Then you walk down towards the harbor, through Halidon street until you have crossed the chain at the bottom of that street. Afterwards -once you reach the water- turn left at the square with the fountain and walk along the waterfront.Walking west (that is left), you will get at the beginning of Angelou street, which you will notice by the big anchor in front of the Naval Museum... You go up Angelou street and just before you get to the top of it, you will see on your right a small side street; Iason Studios being at the end (that is actually our front entrance)....
If you arrive by bus from Souda port to the bus stop at the Market, these are the options:
You may take a taxi from outside and ask to be dropped at Theotokopoulou street.
Alternatively, you just walk down towards the harbor, through Halidon street, then -once you reach the water- turn left at the square with the fountain and walk along the waterfront. Walking west (that is left), you will get at the beginning of Angelou street, which you will notice by the big anchor in front of the Naval Museum... You go up Angelou street and just before you get to the top of it, you will see on your right a small side street; Iason Studios being at the end (that is actually our front entrance)....
On the other hand, if you are driving yourself, when you enter the city from the highway, you follow the signs to the center of the town -that is the Market- and then - after you have passed the big Market building with the clock on top - you go straight on. After three (3) traffic lights you turn right into Pireos street, where you can see a big super market (Carefour). You continue straight on until you reach the big wall (ruins of the old castle) and you can see the sea ahead of you.
Now you turn right and park in the parking area; please be aware of the restrictions. There is also another big parking on your left once you get to the waterfront.
From the parking area, you walk to the beginning of the main street of the old town, which is called "Theotokopoulou" street and go upwards on foot.
Go ahead on foot and turn into the second street on your left hand that is DAMASKINON Street. (This is actually our back street door).
At last you have reached us!!!! The sign outside IASON STUDIOS should tell you so...
Recently we have added transfer from the airport. Should you be interested , please notify us ahead.
