How to get there

Travelling to Rainbow Lodge can be a delightful experience in itself. From the direction of Glasgow one has a choice of travelling by road by the beautiful Loch Lomond, or by road and ferry, crossing the Clyde Estuary by a 20 minute ferry crossing. Either way affords you exciting glimpses of the stunning countryside that awaits your arrival.

Directions from Glasgow (via ferry):

Follow the M8 to Gourock then follow signs for the 'Western' ferry from McInroys Point to Hunter's Quay/Dunoon. After the 20 minute ferry journey, turn right and follow signs for the A815. Travel along the A815 northwards, in the direction of Strachur. When the Pucks Glen Car Park comes into view, take the next track to the right, signposted Lamont Lodges. Rainbow Lodge is signed to the left.

Direction from Glasgow (by road only):

Follow the A82 alongside Loch Lomond to Tarbet, then continue straight along the A83. After 15 minutes or so take the A815 signed Dunoon. Follow the A815 through Strachur and onwards toward Dunoon along the banks of Loch Eck. When you see the Benmore Botanical Gardens the road will straighten and you will pass a sign for Uig Hall on your right. The road will turn once to the right, then to the left, with the entrance to Lamont Lodges slightly concealed on your left. Rainbow Lodge is signed to your left.

The lodge owners will email you Directions for you on your journey, along with other Important access information.
