How to get there
How to get there:
From outside Europe
Fly into Paris Charles De Gaule (CDG) airport where you can catch the TGV to Avignon TGV station which is a 2 1/2 hour trip. If your arrival is 6am you'll easily get the 9am (approx) TGV to Avignon TGV station (there are two stations in Avignon so make sure you get the TGV station). Then drive or bus to I'lse Sur La Sorgue and arrive early afternoon. Time for a wander around the village before dinner.
International airlines also service Nice and Marseille where you can TGV to Avignon.
From within Europe Provence is well served by full service and low cost airlines to Marseille, Nimes and Montpellier, Toulon between 50 minutes and 80 minutes drive to the village. In summer you can fly to Avignon, then 25 minutes drive.
Or fly to Lyon, then 2 hours 30 minutes drive, or Nice is slightly further away, a little under three hours and a nice drive across Provence.
Avignon TGV station is 30 minutes drive and Marseille TGV 1 hour.
The local train station Isle Fontaine de Vaucluse is 5 minutes walk from the apartment, as is the local bus stop.
L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is 12 minutes from the A7 and is signposted from the motorway.
Hire car companies operate from all the airports and the TGV stations.
