Pittenweem is a very well stocked village with a butchers, bakers, chemists, hairdresser, fish and chips shop (many think it's the best on the coast), a few pubs, the wonderful Cocoa Tree chocolate and teashop, the Heron bistro on the High Street, and the new Pittenweem Inn on the outskirts. This is a haven for art lovers, for foodies, and for those who simply want to enjoy the unique atmosphere of an historic village - you can still visit the cave that once housed a hermit and gave the village its name.
