The local airport of Aktion is open between May and October, flights available from London and Manchester, the main airlines are Monarch, Thomas Cook, Thomson and Small Planet Air Lines, (Search for "Meridian Fly, Lai Travel) A taxi from the the airport to the House costs about 50e. Or hire a car which can be picked up at the airport, (pre book for much cheaper prices) There is a bus service from the airport to the bus station in the town of Lefkas on the island and then change for a bus to Nidri, the bus passes within 100mtrs of the house. Ferries are available during the summer from Kefalonia to Nidri, the journey from Nidri to the house is about a five minute drive.

If you dont mind driving then a flight to athens is generally much cheaper and the money saved goes some way to offset the cost of a hire car. Drive time is about six hours keeping to the speed limit, the drive is interesting and scenic interms of mountains and coast motorways. Approximately 260miles. Tolls will cost about 25e, 80% of the journey is motorway, 10% is A road and the final part takes you through small towns. A sat nav is essential but a good map is just as effective.
