Makarska offers many fields for playing various sports. The sport complex Sportski center in the neighborhood of Osejave has soccer and rugby fields, basketball and handball courts, tennis courts, fields for athletics and fields for small sports. The tennis center Lucic has nine open and two enclosed tennis courts. The Makarska Riviera hotels have seven inside and eleven outside pools, including those located at the Center for Medical Rehabilitation Biokovka. The Center has an inside pool and a modern gym, as well as a complete facility for physical therapy. Hotel Dalmacija has an outside pool. The last few years experienced a growing interest in extreme sports, such as paragliding, rock-climbing, extreme hiking, mountain biking, bi¬cycle
