How to get there

Abruzzo International Airport in Pescara has flights from London Stansted, Germany, Norway, France, Netherlands and other parts of Italy. Flights run daily by Ryanair so therefore very affordable and convenient for a short city break or a 2 week summer holiday. I can arrange a taxi pick-up at the airport if needed in advance. Vasto is only 50 minutes from the airport. You can hire a car at the airport if you wish, although one is not needed here in Vasto. You can also hire cars on arrival in Vasto if you wish to explore further afield.Vasto can be reached from flights into Rome, by getting a coach from Tiburtina direct to Vasto in 3 hours. These are run by DiFonzo and DiCarlo and both run 5 times a day to and from Rome at a cost of €14. I can supply more information on this after booking including a timetable if requested. Vasto-San Salvo station is only 10 minutes by bus from the town, and has regular trains to Pescara Centrale, one of the biggest train stations in Italy, with connections to most other parts of Itay. The ferry port of Termoli is only 25 minutes from Vasto, with ferries daily to the Tremiti Islands.
