For any guests who don't yet have their preferred driving route south to Provence I can make several suggestions, including overnights if desired, other than battering down the motorway in one hit. Eg the spectacular "Route de Napoleon", or the cut-acrosses via the Luberon and the heart of the Peter Mayle country. If flying to Marseille (my preference) or Nice then renting a car, full directions for the 90minute drive up to La Cascade from either are available. But do investigate the splendid Eurostar option, even nonstop St Pancras to Marseilles in 61/2 hrs or so, or if linking with SNCF then a change in Lille (or Paris) with arrival in Aix-en-Provence tgv where they have the usual car rental companies.
