How to get there
BY TAXI
There are now fixed fares to and from the airports:
- 55€ CDG / Left Bank
- 30€ ORL / Left Bank
Tip a couple of euros for good service.
Rates from train stations vary according to station and traffic.
BY UBER
Getting an Uber at the airports and even train stations isn't easy, since they aren't allowed to park nearby. However it's my personal preference when traveling TO an airport or train station. Fixed fares are:
- 58€ CDG / Left Bank
- 32€ ORL / Left Bank
BY RER
FROM ORLY: We live two short blocks from the Orsay Museum RER C station, which is direct from Orly Airport, or sort of, there is a free shuttle from the airport to the station and then it is direct.
FROM CDG: The RER B leaves directly from CDG but there's a change at St Michel that is hard to negotiate with luggage. We don't recommend it unless you're on a really tight budget.
