How to get there

DIRECTIONS :

My Property is located in a rural village called Castel Cellesi belonging to the Municipality of Bagnoregio in the Province of Viterbo at the crossroad of three different regions: Lazio, Toscana and Umbria.

It's easily reachable from the Highway A1 (coming from north or south).

---------------

USING SAT NAVS OR NAVIGATOR SOFTWARE coming from South (Rome or Fiumicino Airport) type Orte then Montefiascone into your satnav ( don't type Castel Cellesi because navigators tend to take you onto a back road into the village. This road is not in use any longer and it is in terrible conditions). After Montefiascone you can finally type Castel Cellesi.

Getting around

THE FRANCIGENA ROUTE Medieval man felt himself as a pilgrim on earth and he really became one traveling towards the sites of the Christian faith through roads- like the Francigena- with Rome or possibly Jerusalem as a final destination. The “ Via Francigena “ (the Iter Francorum or the Frankish Route) is a branch of the Pilgrimage trail that goes between Canterbury and Rome, coming into full use starting around the 11th century. This pilgrimage route is the same of today, more or less, to be made by foot, bicycle or horse. In the vicinity of Castel Cellesi there two interesting and sections of the Francigena: Section N°39 from Bolsena to Montefiascone Section N° 40 from Montefiascone to Viterbo
